XII SPECIAL CIARB MEMBER QUALIFICATION COURSE

Capital Business Events with the support of the Anglo-Russian Law Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Ministry of Justice of Georgia and ICC Georgia welcome you to take part in the upcoming XII Special CIArb Member Qualification Course on International Commercial Agreements and Dispute Resolution through Arbitration that will take place in Tbilisi, 6-9 October 2014.

Upon successful completion of the writing and oral tests and workshop sessions in English or Russian, the participants will be able to receive a degree of a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators with the right to use abbreviation MCIArb after their names.

CIArb members will be able to take advantage of following privileges:

1.     Official confirmation of a higher legal status, recognized in all European countries.

2.     Right to use MCIArb (Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) abbreviation after their name.

3.     Inclusion into the database of recommended Chartered Arbitrators of Great Britain.

4.     Inclusion into arbitration panel of Chartered Arbitrators of Great Britain, which also allows them:

  • To be invited to court proceedings as an expert arbitrator;
  • To receive the latest news of international law and the latest specialized literature;
  • To be invited to professional development workshops, conferences and international meetings of professional arbitrators.

  • Arbitration and other methods of dispute resolution in Georgia, Russia and England.
  • Applicable law. Conflict of laws principles in Georgia, Russia and England.Comparative overview.
  • Basic principles of contract law and differences in contractual principles and terminology in Georgia, Russia and England.
  • Arbitral proceedings and arbitral award and other issues. 

After completing the course the delegates will have an opportunity to attend the ICC Arbitration Conference to be held October 9, 2014 initiated by the ICC International Court of Arbitration (Paris) and ICC Georgia.
